Daily rankings per keyword, a visibility index and an alert when a product drops.

How we calculate

Only the part of your revenue that comes from the organic Amazon search is projected. It grows with the click-through rate the top 3 receive compared to your position. Because not every keyword reaches the top 3, we count only 30 % of that potential.

Missed revenue = revenue × search share × (CTR top 3 ÷ CTR of your position − 1) × 30 %

Position Share of clicks (CTR) Revenue share from search
Position 1–3 65 % –
Position 4–10 22.5 % 25 %
Page 2 (position 11–20) 7 % 10 %
Worse than page 2 2 % 4 %

The missed profit follows from the typical margin of the category. Your category: Average of all categories · margin 25 % Your category: Electronics · margin 15 % Your category: Home & kitchen · margin 30 % Your category: Beauty & personal care · margin 40 % Your category: Sports & outdoors · margin 30 % Your category: Toys & games · margin 30 % Your category: Fashion & shoes · margin 45 % Your category: Grocery & drinks · margin 20 % Your category: Pet supplies · margin 30 %

The click-through rates are common industry values for Amazon search results. Your actual figures depend on the product, competition, advertising and season.

Frequently asked questions about the revenue calculator

How do I calculate the revenue I miss on Amazon?

Enter your monthly Amazon revenue and the average ranking of your most important keywords. The calculator estimates the share of your revenue that comes from organic search and how much more the top 3 would get, based on typical click-through rates.

What click-through rate (CTR) do the top positions on Amazon get?

As an industry average, positions 1–3 get about 65 % of the clicks, positions 4–10 about 22.5 %, page 2 about 7 % and positions further back about 2 %. The calculator uses these values.

How accurate is the result?

It is an estimate, not a guarantee. We only count 30 % of the potential as reachable, because not every keyword makes it into the top 3. Your actual figures depend on the product, competition, advertising and season.
